Montreal, May 8, 2019 – The Montreal Association for the Intellectually Handicapped (AMDI) is proud to announce the outcome of the 6th edition of the enCirquez-vous Gala! animated once again by our dear Master of Ceremony, the comedian and author Daniel Brière whom we thank for his renewed presence. This edition had a special character since it was unfolding under a whole new formula, in a new place, and with new partners! We are proud to announce that the evening allowed to remit more than $48 000 to the MAIH, this will allow us to increase the development of our activities in arts for the year 2019-2020.
On May 2nd, we welcomed our guests at St-Jax Montréal, a new place of presentation of the circus cabarets of the Monastère with whom we have developed a partnership for the organization of our fundraising event enCirquez-vous 2019. A great way to discover the circus arts in a friendly way, with internationally renowned artists.
“In addition to this exceptional evening, the guests were able to meet people with intellectual disabilities (with or without autism spectrum disorder) and be aware of the cause of intellectual disability with the testimony of Dominique Forget, a member of the MAIH for 19 years and a passionate participant in the Explorations in Art workshops”, says Louis Vincent, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the MAIH.

A wonderful evening made possible by the guests and donors, but also by all our precious sponsors. The MAIH would like to thank especially the Fondation Sandra + Alain Bouchard for their support, as well as the sponsors: Fasken who presented the evening, Dentons and Banque Nationale, our partners “Équilibristes” as well as Robinson Sheppard Shapiro, a new partner “associé” of this edition. NWe were also lucky to be able to count on Espace Public and Cirka, both present during the evening to give a taste of their products and offer beer to our guests, and a lot for the Cirka distillery at our silent auction. Finally, thanks again to the Fonds de solidarité FTQ for their invaluable collaboration.
The silent auction allowed us to raise additional funds for our cause during the evening, it is important to thank all the companies and artists who have generously agreed to offer prizes for the auction. Special thanks to our “Gold” partners: Maison Ishi, Surmesur, Lisabel, Canadiens de Montréal, Club de golf Rosemère, Atelier Lagrange, Anne-Marie Chagnon and Guerlain.
Finally, we warmly thank our volunteers who gave their time for this evening making it even more beautiful and successful.
